OSI group also acquired Flagship Europe, a U.K-based food service provider. Flagship Europe specializes in the production of frozen poultry, sous vide products, Oliver James pies among other foods. According to the President and Chief Operating Officer of OSI Group, David G. McDonald, acquiring the two companies will broaden the company’s presence in Europe. Their combined strengths will propel them to a better position within the food processing industry and will help them to provide a wide range of products for their clients. This expansion will remarkably improve the capabilities to cater for their customers’ varying needs and assist them to realize their long and short-term objectives.

Recently, OSI Group acquired Tyson Foods, a food plant that was neighboring OSI’s Chicago production facility. Kelvin Scott, the senior executive VP of OSI North America noted that the facility would provide the much-needed infrastructure that will help OSI to meet their fast growing customer needs. In November last year, The British Safety Council awarded OSI Group with The Globe of Honor Award for their remarkable management of environment risks.
